Vinyl Decals
A vinyl decal and a sticker are similar in that they are both adhesive-backed and can be used for a number of different applications. However, there are some key differences between the two:
1) How they are made: Vinyl decals are die-cut into specific, single-color designs, while stickers can be printed with a variety of colors, designs, and images.
2) Use: Vinyl decals are often used for car or window decals, wall graphics, or other applications where a more durable, long-lasting option is needed. Stickers are often used for branding, promotional giveaways, or temporary decoration.
3) Adhesive: Vinyl decals typically have a stronger adhesive than stickers, which allows them to adhere better to surfaces and last longer.
Vinyl decals are adhesive-backed graphics or lettering die-cut from a thin, durable vinyl material and are typically a single color.
Vinyl decals can be applied to a variety of surfaces, including glass, metal, plastic, wood, and painted surfaces. They are often used on cars, windows, walls, and signage.
Outdoor Vinyl – The outdoor vinyl we use is rated for up to 6 years of outdoor exposure (Vinyl Manufacturer PDF Spec Sheet).

Vinyl decals should be applied to clean, dry surfaces. The surface should be wiped with rubbing alcohol to remove any dirt or oils. The backing paper should be removed from the decal, and the decal should be carefully placed onto the surface. The decal can then be smoothed out with a credit card or squeegee to remove any air bubbles.
***We include a basic application kit with detailed instructions and the tools necessary for basic installation with all vinyl decal orders.

Vinyl decals should be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution, and a soft cloth should be used to avoid scratching the surface. Harsh chemicals and abrasive materials should be avoided, as they can damage the vinyl material.
In general, hand washing is the safest way to clean items with vinyl decals, as it reduces the risk of damage or wear to the decal. If you must wash a vinyl decal in a dishwasher, place it in the top rack and avoid using a heated drying cycle.
